Poebrotherium was a graceful, deer-sized browser that roamed subtropical woodlands and open savannas during the Oligocene, roughly 30 million years ago. This specimen beautifully displays the high-crowned grinding teeth that allowed these early camels to process leaves, shrubs, and other vegetation.
