The front of the specimen showcases several well-formed stilbite crystal sprays with a soft pearly luster, while the surrounding chalcedony is coated in countless tiny quartz crystals that create a delicate sparkle under light. The reverse side reveals a mossy green basalt matrix with natural botryoidal textures and a central pocket lined with drusy quartz, offering an entirely different display perspective.

About Stilbite

Stilbite is one of the most recognizable members of the zeolite mineral family, prized for its delicate bladed crystal formations, pearly luster, and attractive pastel coloration. Peach-colored examples from Maharashtra are especially popular among collectors due to their elegant crystal sprays and association with other famous Deccan Trap minerals.

The surrounding white chalcedony developed as silica-rich fluids lined ancient gas cavities within volcanic basalt. Later mineral-rich fluids deposited the stilbite crystals, producing the beautiful multi-stage mineralization seen throughout this specimen.
