The interior is filled with well-formed milky white quartz crystals, many exhibiting distinct multi-scepter growth where successive generations of quartz developed over earlier crystal tips. The surrounding cavity is lined with fine druzy chalcedony that provides exceptional sparkle and texture, creating an eye-catching contrast against the larger quartz crystals.

One of this specimen's standout features is its UV-reactive chalcedony. Mineralogical Notes

Quartz forms from silica-rich hydrothermal fluids that crystallize within open cavities in volcanic rock. Scepter quartz develops when crystal growth pauses and later resumes, producing enlarged crystal terminations atop earlier growth. The surrounding chalcedony consists of microcrystalline quartz deposited during different stages of mineralization. In certain Moroccan localities, trace activator elements within the chalcedony produce striking fluorescence under 365 nm ultraviolet light.
