This specimen formed within gas cavities of ancient Deccan Trap basalt flows, where mineral-rich fluids coated pre-existing chalcedony stalactites with successive generations of drusy quartz and Diamond Apophyllite. The resulting combination of dark chalcedony and brilliantly reflective apophyllite creates one of India's most visually distinctive zeolite associations.
