An elegant Double-Terminated White Pearl Stilbite Bow-Tie from Maharashtra, India, featuring a substantial bladed aggregate that expands outward at both ends from a comparatively narrow central structure. Mounted vertically on a custom sculptural base, this specimen reaches approximately 3.5 inches tall while weighing only 78 grams.
The primary display face presents an impressive fan of tightly intergrown stilbite blades. Individual crystals radiate outward from the central growth zone, producing a layered bow-tie architecture with broad rounded terminations across the upper edge.
The opposite end contains another developed group of radiating blades, giving the specimen its distinctive double-ended appearance. Rather than ending abruptly in matrix, the formation continues through the narrow center into a second rounded fan, creating a sculptural silhouette from top to bottom.
Its coloration ranges from soft white and ivory to pale cream and faint champagne. Under directional lighting, the bladed surfaces develop a pearlescent glow that inspired the “White Pearl” descriptor. Broader faces reflect the light softly, while the finely divided edges produce brighter silver-white flashes.

Its flattened bladed crystals frequently intergrow into fan-shaped or bow-tie aggregates. This habit develops as multiple crystals radiate outward from a shared central growth region, producing a narrow middle and broader terminations at the ends.
Most bow-tie formations are visually dominated by one principal fan or remain attached to substantial matrix at the opposite end. This specimen is particularly attractive because the bladed growth continues through the central structure into another well-developed termination.
The term “White Pearl” describes the specimen’s coloration and luster rather than identifying a separate mineral variety. Stilbite commonly exhibits a pearly sheen because light reflects from its cleavage surfaces and finely layered crystal structure.
