The primary display face presents a complex network of terminated amethyst crystals ranging from pale lilac and translucent lavender to softly smoky purple. Larger points rise above smaller secondary crystals, creating an irregular skyline and strong architectural depth. Multiple openings extend between the crystal groups, revealing warm cream-to-golden matrix beneath the amethyst.

Several crystals show attractive internal zoning, inclusions, and variations in transparency. Reflective terminations flash brightly under directional lighting, while softly frosted or naturally textured faces diffuse the light. About Alaçam Amethyst

Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz. Its coloration develops when trace iron incorporated into the quartz structure interacts with natural geological irradiation. Differences in iron distribution, crystal growth, inclusions, and oxidation can produce colors ranging from extremely pale lavender to smoky violet and deeper purple.

The term “open-point” is a descriptive collector and trade name used here to distinguish this formation from densely covered sugar-druzy specimens. It refers to the visible separation between many of the larger quartz points, allowing their individual shapes and terminations to be appreciated more clearly. It is not a separate mineral variety.

This open architecture also exposes more of the underlying matrix and earlier stages of crystallization. Smaller quartz crystals appear between the dominant points, while deeper openings reveal warm mineralized areas and partially concealed crystals.
